2018 Health Tips

Often when we think of being connected with God we only consider our spirit, for he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit (I Corinthians 6:17). We ought to think on our bodies as well, for our bodies belong to him too. What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s (I Corinthians 6: 19-20). Since our bodies are not our own, we should be particular with how we treat it. Just as when you lease an automobile you must return it in the proper condition or pay the price, if we don’t do right by our bodies there is a price to pay. We want to encourage you to incorporate proper diet and exercise in you walk with the Lord. Paul taught Timothy that bodily exercise has a little profit (I Timothy 4:8). Be encouraged to get that profit that comes through exercise that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers (III John 2nd verse).  We have some health tips this month to help you get God’s temple (your body) in the proper condition.


Good night sleep – 6 to 8 hours
Drink plenty of water
Eat plenty of fiber and lean protein
Reduce sodium in diet
Do at least 30 min of exercise 4 to 5 days/ week
