In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
It is amazing how the mouth is a very small member of our body, but it can help us or hurt us. A foolish person does not fear the Lord or acknowledge him. That is why pride is found in the mouth of the foolish. They will rather tell a lie than speak the truth. Sometimes telling the truth does not always come easily, but in the end it will yield good results. A wise person will think before they speak to see what kind of effect their words will have on the hearers. This action taken will preserve them, and keep them from worldly troubles. One of part of the world mentioned in 1 John 2:15 is the pride of life. Now sometimes troubles will come because the truth was told, but we should not fear because that is what the Lord will us to do. So, let us be wise with our lips by gaining the knowledge of God putting it into action by speaking the truth to our neighbor.
May the Lord bless you and he love shine upon you.
