Our Beliefs

The True Church of God in Christ Inc. is founded on principles noted in the Apostle’s Doctrine. Jesus Christ is the chief corner-stone, who established the apostles and charged them to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Based on the scriptures, we believe in repentance, baptism, and perfection.

We believe the Apostles were men, chosen by God to share the good news of Jesus Christ to the world. Jesus the Apostle and high priest of our profession prayed for these Apostles and those who would believe on him through what they taught. He prayed that we would be kept from evil and become one (St. John 17:14-21) (Hebrews 3:1).

We believe on Jesus Christ according to the scriptures. Jesus stated, he that believes on me as the scripture has said out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water; which is the Holy Ghost (St. John 7:38, 39).

We believe in repentance because Jesus said, repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations (Luke 24:47). Repentance consist of a change of heart and mind; which will cause us to work righteousness and put our sins in the past. The Lord gives remission of the sins that are past through the forbearance of God (Romans 3:25).

Repentance

Repentance consist of a change of heart and mind; which will cause us to work righteousness and put our sins in the past.

Baptism

This was as an example to us who believe on him according to the Apostle’s word.

Perfection

To turn sinners to saints and perfect the saints to be ready for the day of Jesus Christ’s return.

We believe in water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus was baptized in water in the book of St. Matthew 3:13. This was as an example to us who believe on him according to the Apostle’s word. The Apostles taught people to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38).

We believe we can be perfect according to Jesus’s command in the scriptures. Jesus said, be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). Apostle Paul stated, he did not start out perfect, but perfection followed afterwards and later in his conversation with the Philippians he spoke to those who were perfect (Philippians 3:12-15). It is God who makes us perfect through our sufferings (I Peter 5:10). He makes us complete in his love.

The Lord Jesus Christ has gone away into heaven and is coming again to receive unto himself a church not having spot or wrinkle. The True Church of God in Christ, Inc. is here to turn sinners to saints and perfect the saints to be ready for the day of Jesus Christ’s return. We are here to start and finish this process with you.
