Pastor Terry Jeffries – Hope of Glory

Pastor Terry Jeffries Jr, born in Atlanta, Ga, is the oldest son of Terry L. Jeffries Sr. and the late Jennifer Boyd Jeffries. His mother, a dedicated and active member of the True Church, was consistent in bringing him and his siblings to services often times seating them on the very front row. During his childhood he sat under the leadership of Bishop W. F. Lucas as well as his grandfather Bishop O. Jeffries.

Terry graduated from Atlanta Public Schools in 1992 and began his military career with the United Stated Navy. He completed 2 world tours over eight years and upon returning home to Georgia, he served an additional two years as an Active U. S. Reservist. In 2002, Terry began his career with WilsonArt, LLC and has been with the company for 16 years.

In 2001, Terry started traveling to Chattanooga, TN with his brother Pastor Vista Jeffries as a way to “hang out”. He was not interested in becoming a part of the ministry. After a few years of traveling together, these “hang out” sessions became an official assignment when the Chattanooga True Church was established.

Upon accepting this assignment, Terry took on additional responsibilities within the church as a Sunday School Teacher and editing the telecast videos for Lucas Temple, Augusta/Burke County, Savannah, Hope of Glory, and St. Paul. Around 2005, Terry was ordained a Deacon by Bishop Lawson and continued to travel with his family faithfully from the Atlanta area to Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 2012, he was ordained a Minister and continued to work within the Church to build the vision of Hope of Glory and the TGOIC as a whole. Bishop O. Jeffries ordained Terry an Elder and installed him as Pastor of Hope of Glory in December 2019.

Terry and Sister Belinda Henderson Jeffries has been married since December 6, 1997. Belinda is a Special Needs teacher of kids with Autism and serves as Lead teacher for her program. Terry and Belinda are the parents of 3 children: Donovan a junior and Brandon a freshman are students at Georgia Gwinnett College. Zoey, the only daughter is in first grade. Terry credits the grace of God, the love in their home, and their weekly travels to Chattanooga as significant reasons for their strong family bond.
